- What factors
determine the price of a
translation?
- Do you provide a
discount in case of
large projects or
frequent orders?
- Why are translations
so expensive?
- How much does
proofreading cost?
- What methods of
payment do you accept?
- What factors determine
the price of a
translation?
> The price of a
translation project is
based on five main
factors:
-
Source and target
languages
Translation tariffs
are partly based on
the availability of
the qualified
translators. As a
result, a
translation from/to
a more 'exotic'
language doesn't
necessarily have to
be more expensive
than a translation
which involves more
common languages.
-
Size of the
original text
The size of the
original text (=
number of words) is
probably the most
decisive factor when
calculating the
price of translation
project. If a
provisional version
of a text should be
delivered at the
time of making the
quotation, the final
price of a
translation project
may, obviously,
differ from the
quotation price.
